LIFE IS NOT BEING BUT BECOMING  A. ADLER
This hands – on course provides participants with an overview of the  Adlerian concepts on the development of the personality, apperceptions and inferiority feelings in early childhood.  How is this linked to striving? Is striving positive or negative? Through discussions and practical activities  insight is gained into these concepts and their influence in  daily life.

BORN IN A WORLD OF GIANTS
Adler believed that the individual wants to move from a perceived minus to a perceived plus ,and this can turn striving into thriving. By exploring particular skills  together with the  concept of social interest this course offers a guide as to how movement towards the useful side of life can be achieved  thus bypassing moving towards  the useless side of life  in today’s society

Young People at Adlerian Summer School

Young people are a valued part of the Summer School experience. Sessions for young people will be run during the time of the adult workshops.

The sessions will be run by two experienced facilitators, and will incorporate Adlerian principles of co-operation and encouragement. There will be games, creative activities,  story telling and much more.

Young people will remain at all times the responsibility of the parent or guardian who brings them to Summer School.

There's So Much To Be Excited About

THE LOCATION

About Felden Lodge

This is a beautiful 32 acre site in Hertfordshire including pastures and woodland. There is an extensive camping field near to the main buildings with showers and toilet facilities adjacent.

Furthermore, although it is set in countryside, it has very easy access from all major routes; nearby station and main airports.  It is also within easy reach of our training centres in Cambridge and Buckinghamshire.

The price is very reasonable for a week of learning and residential accommodation. Participants can benefit from fully residential, ensuite shared rooms or self-catering shared accommodation or camping.

Or, for those who wish to be non-resident, you can join us for one or more streams during the week.  We will be inviting international and UK facilitators to present a variety of workshops.

As ever, we will keep to small groups to allow for full participation of all.

The bonfire will continue in the fire pit on the campsite where we will have the opportunity to reconnect our community in harmony of music and song and our lovely drumming ceremonies.

We have delicious meals including meat, fish and of course vegetarian choices. We are limited in the number of rooms available at Felden Lodge and encourage you to share in the twin rooms to allow as many people to attend as possible.

We suggest an early deposit to secure your place.
